Fantastic location with miles of walks on Exmoor from just outside the farm gate. Within easy reach of Lynton, Lynmouth, valley of Rocks, Watersmeet, Combe Martin, and just a short drive to Saunton Sands and Porlock. Plenty of fine pubs and restaurants to eat in. Pauline & Doug were lovely friendly hosts and the scones and fudge provided on arrival were very much enjoyed. The view from the cottage is stunning, the visits from Wiggly the pig charming. The cottage was small (once we moved in 2 dog beds) but equipped with everything needed, the bed was comfy and there was a good shower with strong pressure.

I cannot recommend High Bullen Farm Cottages highly enough. Swallow Cottage was everything I'd hoped for, beautiful setting, stunning views & peaceful. I parked up on arrival and didn't use the car until I left. My Spaniel and I had the most wonderful time exploring the Moors and Lynton and Lynmouth. I feel very lucky to have found this lovely spot.

I had a lovely and peaceful stay in the shepherds hut. A wonderful view, even in the mist and rain! If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place.

The cottage was cosy and welcoming. The area is beautiful with lots of great walks. I felt safe staying there as a solo traveller. Dogs had a great time. The pigs are very friendly and enjoy a cuddle. Lovely place to stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at Jackdaw Cottage and really didn’t want to leave! It was the perfect place for our family break, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setting.

The cottage is lovely, comfortable and really well equipped, with beautiful views and the most peaceful surroundings. Our teenage son absolutely loved having the space and freedom to relax, and it was lovely for all of us to be able to switch off and spend some proper time together.

We also had our two dogs with us, and they were completely in their element! The garden and surrounding countryside were fantastic for them, and it was so nice to stay somewhere that genuinely feels dog-friendly.

There are some lovely walks right from the cottage, and the location is perfect for exploring Exmoor. After a day out, it was wonderful to come back to such a peaceful and cosy place.

Pauline’s place was just as described. Close to town but still private and peaceful. She had a great welcome binder with all the info one needs. The space itself was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Swift Cottage.

Pauline was a lovely, friendly and welcoming host, without ever being intrusive. The scones with jam and clotted cream waiting for us on arrival were a lovely Devon welcome!

The cottage is small and simple, and we found it a little snug even for two, but the location is fabulous. The views over Exmoor and the surrounding countryside are outstanding, with lovely walks from the doorstep and wonderful peace and tranquillity.

It’s very dog-friendly, with a secure garden, and Pauline’s dogs were very friendly too. We loved seeing the horses outside and meeting the very friendly pigs.

The shower was fantastic — lovely and hot with great pressure! The Smart TV was also a nice touch.

If you’re looking for five-star luxury and lots of space, this probably isn’t for you. But if you love countryside, animals, spectacular views and a peaceful getaway, you’ll love it here.

We left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed for three nights and had such a lovely time. The shepherd’s hut was cosy, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. It was the perfect place to relax and switch off, while also being a great base for exploring Exmoor, Lynton, Lynmouth and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful countryside getaway.

We had a lovely 1 night stay here for my husbands birthday (chocs in the fridge were a lovely touch) The hut is set in the most beautiful spot overlooking the moors and sea, perfect to unwind and relax. The horses you are surrounded by are lovely and friendly and great fun to watch them galloping in the fields. We unfortunately didn't get the sunset because of clouds but could imagine how stunning it would be to sit on the hut and watch it go down over the sea. We enjoyed our stay here overall, thank you Pauline and Doug!

We had such a great stay in this absolutely idyllic and stunning location, such a wonderful getaway, gorgeous surroundings +complete silence once there, literally just the sound of birds. The cottage was cosy+had everything we needed, WiFi was excellent which was great with teens! But mostly they loved the animals, especially the friendly pigs wiggley+twiggly who won’t be forgotten anytime soon! Our dog loved the play barn too+we appreciated the token of being able to have a session for free. Also the enclosed grassed garden was perfect for letting dogs have roam around freely. The fresh eggs +cream tea on arrival was also very welcome after a long drive! Overall if looking for a peaceful getaway but close to fab places in North Devon+dog walks right on your doorstep I would highly recommend a stay here.
